Emerald Coast Technology and Research Center (An Enhanced Use Lease)
The development is a ground lease of approximately 98 acres of Air Force property immediately outside the Eglin AFB West Main Gate. The project is a joint venture between Hunt Development Company with dck International and is targeted to provide facilities for research and technology firms with ongoing missions with the Air Force such as Boeing and Northup Grumman.
The Emerald Coast Technology and Research Center will ultimately house approximately 2.1 million SF of class “A” office, technology and research lab space supported by an educational core of undergraduate and graduate level research facilities, including a scientist and graduate student housing facility. The park includes a variety of amenities such as a full service hotel and conference center, a health and wellness center, an additional extended stay hotel, mid scale restaurants, bank and professional services office buildings, a child development center and allocated space for a joint Okaloosa County / EDC incubator educational facility.
Bullock Tice Associates, Inc. provided Architectural, Planning and Interior Design services including overall Project Management for the Center. The project was awarded a Concept Design Award in 2009 by the Headquarters Air Force Material Command (AFMC).
