1st Air Force Headquarters Facility
Bullock Tice Associates provided Architectural and Interior Design services for the first two phases of the three-phased 1st Air Force Headquarters Facility project at Tyndall AFB, FL. Phase I and II of the project resulted in (2) two-story buildings which together, form the Killey Center for Homeland Operations. This complex consolidated the functions of 10 individual directorates located throughout the base and houses over 370 personnel.
The function and purpose of the project was to provide an adequately sized, configured and consolidated headquarters facility to support NORTHCOM and the 1st Air Force with critical Command and Control, Aerial Surveillance, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C2ISR) capabilities associated with providing aerospace warning, control and service support to civil authorities. The entire facility is designed to operate as a secure facility, including SCIF and open storage. Support systems include intrusion detection and access control systems.
